Should closing take this long?

We received our closing papers from the title company on April 15. We had the signed documents with our money in on it's way back the same day. We confirmed that the title company had received the documents and funds by April 17. As of today (Apil 26), the title company says the closing has not taken place and may "take place early next week."

Is this reasonable? I had thought that once they had our signed documents and money that it was a matter of sending it to Disney and the Orange County Controllers Office.

The contract we purchased has an April use year with banked points. So the delay is eating into our window to use those points. Thus the anxiety.

resales do take a while. i know its hard to wait. been there. from the time i called the resale place to the time i was in the disney system was 3 months.
this is normal. but it doesn't hurt to call once a week and see how it is progressing.

Mine went fairly quickly, but the title company is also waiting for documents from the sellers. I remember I was warned that depending on how motivated they were it could take a little while.
