Renting points

We want to stay at Vero Beach. How would we rent or trade (SSR) points with another DVC owner? Do they make the reservation in our name? or does it go thru DVC to actually move the points into our account? Would we get the 11 month window? Is there a cost?

Unless you want or need a Beach House, for most times of the year, you should be able to make a reservation for VB with your SSR points when the 7 month window opens.

I think it would be hard to find a VB owner who wants to trade points. Except for New Year's Eve (which pretty much sells out everywhere fairlys quickly), I haven't heard of anyone who has had trouble making a reservation at SSR when they call at the 7 month mark.
