Hi,
I'm Jamie from Gulf Coast MS. I'm a former travel agent and current (and always) Disney fanatic. I'm a mom of a 5 year old Disney fanatic in training. He's been every year since birth. :coolcar:
We are thinking of joining the Vacation Club soon, now that I no longer can get those great discounts, bummer. :crymeariv We will more probably rent first to get the feel for things. Have a great day!

Welcome Jamie! I am a former travel agent, too. Don't you miss those discounts! I was an owner at OKW and BWV before I got into travel and sold my points thinking I could save money by not paying annual dues and just going on my agent discount. Guess what - - I was only part-time and so I lost my discounts and boy did I regret selling those points! I am a Disney fanatic, too, as are most people around here, and go every year at least once. I'm sure once you experience DVC vacations you will never want leave. It is very addicting! You will find lots of useful information here. You may want to check out the resort reviews to decide which property to try first. I personally love OKW because of the size of the rooms and the atmosphere. Being from PA I love the palm trees and tropical music they play around the resort. It is very relaxing there and really feels like a "home away from home" to us. I have to admit that probably my feelings for OKW are somewhat sentimental because we spent many family vacations as my children were growing up. I have three and two are in college now so we just have one 14 yr DD to go with us now. Things change so quickly. You are smart to start going now. You will cherish the memories!
