Signature won't show in threads

I finally figured out how to get the DVC logos in my signature. They are there in the signature preview, but when I go to a thread that I have posted in the past, the logos are not there. What really simple step have I left out? I added an avatar, and it showed up immediately.

so, it's there now. maybe it doesn't go back and add to old threads, just new ones, or is someone trying to drive me crazy?

No, old posts do not update with your sig.

Yes, old posts do update with your new sig. If you go and look at all of your posts, you will see that they do. Do a search on yourself.

Mine haven't.

I just added my sig a few hours ago. New stuff: yes, old stuff: no.

I think the sig fairy is napping.

If I go to the New Threads section and click on the thread about Buzz and go to my post on the last page, no siggy, just my new threads.

This is just a guess.

I'm betting that if you had NO signature at all, whatever software tags are used to include your sig are omitted entirely from a post. No signature--no placemarker in the post for a signature.

However, if you do have a signature when you post, and later change your signature, the siggie on all old posts will also be updated to the current.
