Hey all you New Yawkas and Joisey folks (and Wicked Cool New Englandus). We are expecting a BLIZZARD tomorrow. YIKES!

Guess we gotta' hunker down and :ale: this weekend! ;)

FWIW ....the ski resorts must be HAPPY! This has been a lousy winter for them! I'm actually happy b/c we're going skiing over President's W/End in Vermont! :bouncingp I just hope we don't lose power....again :( .

DS was very disappointed to here that it was snowing tomorrow...no days off from school! He's been waiting all winter for some snow to play in. Everytime he sees a flurry he goes running for the snow boots. As much as I personally hate snow, I guess 1 weekend wouldn't be so bad for the kids to enjoy it!:santa:

Please, I don't need no blizzards this weekend. DS decided he just had to see his GF this weekend so he's driving down from Rochester NY. We're in South Joisey.

:sosad: Oh NO!!!! That's not good. I don't think this thing is going to miss us though. Does he have AWD or 4WD??? I hope so!!!!

If he leaves REALLY early tomorrow or even tonight he'll be in before it starts! I think the snow is coming in late morning for you guys down south!

6 to 10 inches is hardly a blizzard, even by wussy Bostonian standards (it might be as far south as say Maryland or even New Jersey, but not here).

It should be nice to have a little snow cover for a while, and maybe something for the kids to sled on.

Heck, and if I get sick of it in the next week, we are off to Vero anyways (we should be there by this time next week. Yay!).:Pinkflami

We had a bare dusting of white stuff this morning. It's gone now. And we complained about it. T'ain't fittin'. Just t'ain't fittin'. I want my 60+ degrees back! (It's 45 right now.)

Ooh, hey! I'm a STUDIO now. I passed Rofr!

Congrats DisFlan!!!! Feels good huh? :)

Yup- this northern Ct. girl went to pick up a few groceries (not due to Storm projected) and people just PANIC!!!!!!!!! The deli line was a 1/2 mile long...bottled water gone- cleaned out shelves! Geez you would think they never had a 'blizzard" in New England before- I think the weather stations and the grocery stores are in ca-hoots! :handshake

Drats and I was just starting to see the front lawn!

I don't think the blizzard will be due to large quantities of snow (about a foot here is expected) but more importantly it's going to be powdery and the wind gusts are expected to be rather high. So the blowing snow will create blizzard-like conditions. Just thought I'd clarify FWIW! ;)

BTW...Athenna :) I was including Boston in my Wicked Cool New Englanduhs line! I lived in Rhode Island for several years! I love the accent!

OK, it's like some kind of cruel joke outside.....I keep hearing blizzard but look out the window and see sunshine and blue skies. I wish it would just start already! As does my 6 yr old who checks the weather report and outside every 10 minutes....waiting for that first flake to fall!

And I had to laugh this morning when DH came home from work carrying "essential" supplies, 2 gallons of milk (yep, he's one of those milk hoarders!) and dozen Dunkin Donuts!

Hi,

We had snow yesterday but it didn't stick. Now it's rainy & cold!

OK, that qualified as a Blizzard. We got 16 inches here (less in Boston proper), and having been out in it at various times, I would certify that it was a blizzard.

Apparently it was worse for you folks in the mid-Atlantic states, plus the further South you go, the less they know how to deal with it.
