Frog hopping in for a brief report......

You'll never guess where this amphibian has been of late........

I now feel like a professional (world) traveler like our own dear Bavaria.......

I have just returned from the (IMHO) nicest US city, San Franscisco......

But wait, you'll never guess why..... (I still can't believe it myself.......)

My best friend, Mark, was one of the 79 American 2008 Olympic torch bearers, and he invited me to tag, errrr hop along!

For 4 amazing days, I lived the life of the rich and famous frogs, before returning to my (lilly) pad!

Working on pictures now.... DONE

Here are the Samsung 6 (Samsung's chosen Olympic Torch Bearers) My friend Mark is 2nd from the left. From the left, Rick, Mark, Bill, Cherice, Katie, Herschel.

Here are Mark and Cherice carrying the Olmpic Torch amid much security. Due to the last minute changes, torch bearers doubled up

Rick (A NYC Firefighter) and Kerry carrying the Olympic Torch. Rick was able to wear his helmet to honor the 343 NYC firefighters lost in the line of duty on 09-11-01. He and Kerry each took 172 steps, one for each lost hero........

Rick with Tony (Two Firefighters)

Here is a Hoppy (and FAT, sigh) Froggie with Mark's Olympic Torch...

Here is the second frog ever to have a security detail (after Kermit, of course!)

Mark and I together at the Golden Gate Bridge. BTW, Mark is the finest human being that I have ever met......

Me being reminded by my Uncle Darth to behave. (Non-Olympic Related Private Tour of Lucas Films........WAY COOL!!!)

http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f312/snarfer1/Tony_with_Darth_Vader_1.jpg

Tony (High left) and Slimer from Ghostbusters (in striped shirt) two Green Guys.......

http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f312/snarfer1/Tony_with_Slimer_2.jpg

The Samsung 6 (including Herschel Walker) were the nicest group of people that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. 6 'regular' Americans who each did great things for others to earn the honor of being a Samsung Sponsored Torch Bearer......

Besides being blessed with memories to last a lifetime, I was honored to be among them.......

09-11-01 lest we forget........

I worked in downtown San Francisco for 6 years, and enjoyed every minute of it. It's a beautiful city! I lived in the East Bay (Walnut Creek) and took the BART in to work every day.

That picture of the Golden Gate bridge sure brings back memories...
