Shameless plug for our very own Mousesaver page devoted to BCV, written by a very devoted BCV fan, our very own Beca. She did a great job, there's a lot of helpful info and tips that will make your trip there even better!:howudoin:

The BEST desserts from the takeaway counter in the gift shop. I will admit to having far too much of the chocolate mousse cake and the key lime tart from there, but it makes a nice end to the evening after Illuminations.
And Cape May is one of the best character breakfasts - not too crazy, great food, good interaction.
If you ever need a haircut, Evangeline at the salon is amazing. I always get compliments when she cuts my hair.
The best valet parkers - they always offer directions and greet you, no matter how busy.
Sitting on a rocking chair on one of the walkways watchign the world go by.
Close proxmiity to excellent food at Yacht Club Galley and YAchtsman Steakhouse.
Do I need to go on?

The many public areas to sit and veg - they are always deserted and a great place to relax
One can leave the room at 850pm and still catch Illuninations from WS
The wildlife on the side of the buildng nearest Epcot
(Gee, sounds like I need to stay at BCV more often!!!!)

The most expensive of all the 2042 DVC's when it comes to resale (we own there too )
SAB
Central Location
Somewhat Quieter part of WDW
Back door entrance to Epcot
Great public sitting rooms
Good size quiet pool as well
It is our #1 place to stay followed by SSR
cheers

How about...
Sitting on that bench swing with your toes playing in the sand, sipping a drink from Hurricane Hannah's and watching the boats come and go on cresent lake. Ahhhh.... (this work particularly good if it is snowing at home ;) )
Being able to walk to two parks is great! ...we hate to wait for a bus.
DH's favorite is the very close self parking. It's right off the end of the building (near 178).

I haven't stayed there since they re-did the gift shop/snack bar area, but I understand that they have the best gelato available at that snack bar.
If your room is high enough up on the side facing EPCOT, you overlook Soarin' and the Land and can see a lot of Illuminations.
I can't think of any disadvantages to staying at BCV. If you are lucky enough to get a room there, enjoy your stay.
