NEWS: Bedding upgrades at DVC

…Disney has signed a deal with Springs Global US, Inc. to supply Wamsutta products for deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts as part of the Disney Resort Collection. The bedding and bath products will be available for purchase by in-room and online catalogs (http://www.disneyresortcollection.com/). Products include deluxe bath towels, microtouch fleece blankets, cotton-rich sheets, bed pillows and a mattress pad.

Doesn't say anything about duvets, though. :(

Anyone want to guess how well Styrofoam cups match the new bedding!

When I checked into BCV earlier this month, there was a Disney Resort Collection catalog in the room.

I think they upgraded us to the new bedding when we stayed at BCV last October - they came in and switched everything out halfway through our stay (free housekeeping!), and the new stuff was much nicer than what they took out. No catalogs, though - I guess they wanted to get everything rolled out before they went that far.

Now, if only the online catalog worked . ..

I don't know if it was the new bedding or not, but we were at OKW 3/1 - 8 and my bed was as hard as a rock. It made me feel better to think I had a new/clean mattress, but I didn't get any sleep on it!

Beds at OKW do seem to be a bit too firm for my tastes too.

I noticed the catalogs when I was at SSR. I had to chuckle that we had catalogs for nice linens and duvets but were still stuck with.... Well, not so nice linens and icky bedspreads.

there was a catalog there. Reminded me of the linens we had when we stayed in the Roy Suite on DCL. Nowhere to be found in our 2br OKW digs, though. Icky bedspread, ok linens.

In ours too, and I actually brought it home with me. I thought the new pillows were wonderful! The bottom sheet seemed to be larger than the old ones too.

The bedspread isn't too likely to change to something else, because that is what was designed for the theme. Our bed at OKW last week seemed to have a sparkling new spread though, and the pillows, linens and towels were definitely better than last November.
