International Disney Theme Park Passes Suggested

Some Disney theme park fans can never get enough, which is why one shareholder's question to Walt Disney Co. President and CEO Bob Iger seemed to interest him.

"Is there any chance for a worldwide pass?" asked a man from California who said he's had Disneyland annual passes for 10 years and now has one for Walt Disney World too. During the company's annual shareholder's meeting, in Albuquerque, N.M., Iger replied that a single, annual pass good at all 11 Disney parks was something to consider, and that it had never come up before. Even Disney Board of Directors Chairman John Pepper said he was interested in the idea. Later a Disney Vacation Club member joined in and suggested that if such passes were ever offered that DVC members should be given special consideration. Iger seemed to like that idea too.

"Thank you very much for your idea," Pepper told the first shareholder.
Otherwise, political complaints about the corporation's TV programming largely overshadowed discussions of theme parks.

In a question-and-answer session with shareholders that was broadcast over the Internet, Disney Chairman John E. Pepper Jr. and President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger were pressed to defend the company's broadcast programming against complaints that some shows, and some of the company's interests, were not all family-oriented enough for the company. They also had to defend the company's decision to not release a DVD version of the controversial ABC miniseries The Path to 9/11..

In other news, Iger said the company continues to actively look worldwide for a location for a 12th park; and said there are no plans to build another park at the Disneyland Resort in Southern California.

how about brazil?

how funny would it be if in a decade you went on a brazilian disney discussion board and all you saw were rants about large foreign tour groups...

Very funny,

I can see me walking around with a six foot long staff with a flag on the end gathering up my family after we exit the Brazilian version of Space Mountain and head off to the Brazalian Haunted Mansion.

I am glad to know they are discussing this, the programming on the Disney Channels IMO is alarmingly bad.

I hope your feeling better?

I'd be interested in a pass that could be used at all locations.
It was surprising to me that this is the first time this question was ever posed.

I find that hard to believe. I know people on various boards have talked about a WDW/DL combo pass for many years. Maybe it's the first time Igor's thhought about it. :innocent:
