Is it possible to do a breakfast buffet - non charactor, say like theMaya Grill buffet - in place of a CS meal ?

Dollar for dollar it's a pretty even swap. Most NC breakfast buffets run about $11.95 per adult and include beverage. CS meals include entree, dessert & beverage which can easily add up to $11.95.

No. CS is CS and TS is TS, regardless of B,L or D. It has been reported that you can use TS credits at CS locations but not a very good use of the plan IMO.

Of course you can. My kids do, why not you? You could do breakfast at Pepper Market instead of Maya Grill. That would be considered CS.

I wish we could do an exchange - I'd be willing to swap 2 CS for one TS. We're just not CS folks.

We are planning to do some constructive use of our CS, though. For example - DS11 has to get adult TS and CS. Well, at Typhoon Lagoon, I just know he will be happier with a kid's CS (he will want that stinkin' bucket and shovel, just like his younger bro and sis). So we will use 3 kids CS for that. Then, at Flame Tree, he will want ribs, as will his brother and sister - so we will use 2 adults CS to split amongst the 3 kids, and just buy one drink for the extra kid out of pocket (or I suppose we could use a snack coupon for an extra drink - whatever!)

BUt nonetheless - I sure wish we could swap some CS. Maybe this trip will give me a new-found appreciation for CS, but I never found the thrill in CS at WDW before. I'd rather munch a snack of my own while in line, then enjoy a nice, sit-down themed TS meal than grab WDW-style fast food and waste precious time doing it. FWIW - JMHO - YMMV - you get the idea....
