Just found this:
Disney to make Narnia 'Prince Caspian' for 2007

2 hours, 33 minutes ago

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Walt Disney Co and Walden Media have started pre-production on a second film based on C.S. Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia" children's books, a Disney spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

The second film, "Prince Caspian," starring the same four child actors as "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," is expected to be released in 2007.

"The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," released December 9, has earned $634.4 million at box offices worldwide, according to online box office tracking site Box Office Mojo.

By domestic box office results, it is the 28th most-viewed film ever.

Disney and Walden split the profits equally from the "Narnia" films.

Also Loin the Witch & Warobe will be out on DVD 4.4.06! You can preorder off of Disneydirect.

Very cool, thanks.

I thought Narnia was great and look forward to this next one. The kids did get a Prince Caspian book at Christmas, but we haven't had time to read it. This is a great reason to open it up!

Having just re-read all of them, there are a couple that might not lend themselves to Movie form. I am guessing that the book between The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian might fall into that category; but I really liked A Horse and his Boy. I think the first and last books in the series are also candidates for no movies, as they are a bit strained in the storytelling.

After Prince Caspian, I'm pulling for my fav' Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and the The Silver Chair for a nice even 4, tho adding in A Horse and his Boy (which is a gripping story) would make an even nicer set of 5.

I think A Horse and His Boy could make a good movie, but I understand why they went with Prince Caspian before those four child actors get too much older. A Horse and His Boy takes place *during* L, W and W, when they are all grown up as kings and queens, before they go back to England.

I have the BBC theatrical release on DVD the set of 4 I believe it is and they are great for how old they are.
