We have a late dinner planned at R&C at 7:50 and hopefully we will be able to sit outside and enjoy Illuminations.
We are arriving just after 2 and would prefer to stay in the BWV/BC/Epcot area. I have never really had lunch in the area before so I am looking to you guys to give me some expert advice :)- We are looking for a lighter lunch as we will have dinner that eve- TIA!!!

ESPN on the boardwalk is good.
The burger at Big River Grill is good (personally, I can't recommend anything else there)
And there's always pizza on the boardwalk too!
Do you like soups? If so, I've had good soup at both Rose & Crown and Chefs de France. Since R & C is for dinner, I'd recommend Chefs. (brilliant, eh?) :crackedup There's also a nice cheese plate if you want a little something more substantial to share.

We just crave the fish n' chips from the mother country all year round...
also le cellier has a FANTASTIC lunch. They had this french dip like sandwich that I cried halfway through it was so good. also the soup there makes a nice lunch with a salad.
have a great trip! :goodvibes

Not sure how "light" you want your lunch to be, but here are my picks for what I would consider on the light side in the Epcot area:
NOT Big River Grill and Brewery. Ick ick ick. (dvc convert said the burgers are good there, so I will trust her opinion, but everything we ordered was awful, as was the service).
Favorites in order of preference are:
The Land Pavillion at epcot has a SUPER nice food court. Something for everyone, very fresh food, reasonable and quick. The choices tend to be on the healthier side (chicken, salad, sushi), and the food quality is excellent. (FYI: Most of the veggies they sell they grow in the greenhouses in the pavillion).
Cantina de san angel outside of Mexico. Reasonable, tasty, nice seating/view on the water, and if you like to feed birds you'll have a party, they are all over you there.
Boardwalk bakery has some super yummy sandwiches. You can take them out to the boardwalk and sit at a table to enjoy them.
ESPN club is LOUD but reasonable and decent food imho.

If it were us we'd either do B&C at the BC/YC or I'd get Mexican at the Cantina and DH would end up with fish n chips from England.

I like Yacht Club Galley for lunch. This past trip my friend requested Biergarten to which I thought :blech: but I will admit that I had a lovely time!! I found lots of veggies on the buffet, pretzel bread :clappingh , and some pseudo-German desserts.
Our server was lovely - she was obviously happy to chat with me in German, and I felt a little bad that I didn't take more time with her as my friend had just arrived and we were catching up on gossip etc. I ordered my friend a Rudesheimer Kaffee which is a great after meal treat, by the way......
And the best part was that I didn't hear the chicken dance performed once during our meal. (I used to serve at banquets in Bavaria and it's a fixture of every wedding there....)

We would go with something in Mexico at the Cantina or a bite in Morocco at the Tangierine Cafe (mint tea, baklawa, vegetarian items etc.)

I took Mars advice and tried Seasons in the Land- I was able to get a fast pass for soarin' and everyone was starved. I have always seemed to pass by there and never really checked it out but they really have alot to offer! It was not busy and the different food selections were very good- worked out great! :)
The last day was just my little man and I exploring Epcot before we had to get back to the resort in time for ME. I had always wanted to try the fish and chips at Yorkshire County fish House so we finally did. The outdoor seating was packed to the right side so we wandered over behind UK and found a nice peaceful quiet bench-
i love to try new places to experience and these were both wonderful!
Thanks all for your suggestions and I am sure to try them all on future trips! :)
