I think this is the right forum, it is kind of news.
I just read on laughing place webiste that in April there will no longer be a Disney Shopping Catalogue as they want to focus more on the website. As much as I love their website, I still have a fondness for holding things in my hand and flipping through them when I feel like it. I guess I better get with the times.

We love the catalog, too. My kids really like looking through it - and I like seeing it on the coffee table!

We like it too.
I'm a little surprised they would do away with it. It's much easier to see the items they have when it's laid out in front of you. I don't think I would order half the stuff I have if I didn't see it in the catalogue first. I don't have time to sit in front of the computer going through all the web pages to see what's new. It's so much easier to just flip a few pages, make a few as a hint for DH ;) , have the kids go through it if they want.

I agree. I just ordered myself a couple of the Mickey polo shirts and I wouldn't have if I didn't see them in the catalog. I rarely sit in front of their website browsing thru it. That is a shame they're doing away with it.

I would not have ordered and spent the $80.00 a few weeks ago, if not for the sale catalog. I saw stuff I wanted, went directly to those items on the Net and ordered them. If not for the catalog, I would not take the time to visit the site:idontgeti :(

I totally understand where you're coming from. As a kid, who DIDN'T look forward to the Sears Wishbook and circle alll the toys for oyur parents to buy?

My brother and I would study that Sears catalog for days and days... :reporter:

It would be interesting to see how much sales drop when they discontinue the Disney catalog.

Exactly! That was a highlight for me.
And I agree with the others as well, I am more inclined to buy something if I see it flipping through the catalogue, because on-line you kinda have to search it out.:magnify:

Oh, the Sears catalog, what memories....

As for Disney Catalog, I swear we get them every week. Maybe they could have just cut back the number. I like it, but I get overwhelmed with teh amount of mail we get. Does that mean we've seen out one and only Disney HOme catalog?
