Boy oh boy... first the 3 day Wonder cruise, then a 4 day Carnival Cruise... I am all cruised out!! LOL
I was planning on writing my trip report for the Wonder cruise while on the Carnival cruise, but never found the time! Even when I broke my toe on day 2 (Cozumel day)
I was in the Spa, about to head into the massage room for a lovely 75 minute hot stone massage, when I lost my balance and SLAMMED my toe into a bench leg. I knew instantly that I did some damage, but nothing can prepare you for seeing your toe pointing in a direction is should never point. I did consider getting the massage, and then heading to the infirmary, since I know all they do is push it back and tape it, but the look on my massage theripist face told me that she really didnt want to have anything to do with my toe.... lol So I started bawling...
Cried all the way down to the infirmary... in the infirmary and after the infirmary. Not because of the pain (it did really hurt) but I was more upset that I missed my massage AND I would not be able to wear my cute shoes that night in Cozumel.
The Ships doctor gets a thumbs down from me. First she wanted to monkey with my toe before seeing the Xray.... I suggested strongly she wait until she knows what was going on in there before starting to fix it (she didnt like that at all, but come on... you cant wait 2 minutes for the xray??) Then she comes back in with a loaded needle... "heres something for the pain" My eyes popped out (just like a cartoon) and I asked what was in it. SHe said Nubain. UGH No way Jose! I had Nubain with my first deleivery and it did nothing for the pain, and I couldnt talk. I requested something else... maybe tynol 3 (with codine) or even a viciondin (I would break it in half) Nubain seemed way over the top to me. They promptly brought me Motrin 600. Woo hoo... NOT. So one either gets way too much meds, or not enough. Sucked.
I also asked the ships doctor for extra tape, so I could retape my toe as needed. She said I would have to come down to the infimrary to get it retaped.... lovely...
Thankfully when I went back down to the infirmary to have it retaped after my shower the nurse gave me a roll of tape.
I am still mourning the loss of my massage and not being able to wear my wonderful shoes..... ::::Sigh::: Toe still hurts, I have a cold/fever... kids missed me, and I cant hug and kiss them...
Happy to be home though...
