My best tip is go at an odd time. Dh and I got it on teh Epcot monorail from TTC once when we went after MK closed. It was also Late September, so not a real crowded time.

Just thought. If you were doing TTC to EPcot, you could wait it out a monorail. (Let the first one go and then you should be first in line for the enxt one,)

I agree with the odd times. The times we rode it, we kindly sweetly asked the monorail attendant if we could ride up front, and of course he said "if no one is allready in it"...sometimes we would have to wait for it to go around once. The best luck was early entry to Epcot at the TTC. We were the only people in line (off season, october? maybe), and he asked if we would like to.

All we ever do is walk up to the CM waiting at the gate and ask him/her if the front is open and if it is we ask to be the ones to ride up front. Mind you it is usually DW that rides up front with teh kids as you can only put 4 up there and we are after all a family of 5 damn occupancy limits LOL sorry I just had to add that .

This will work for any of the monorails of course, not just the TTC to Epcot. It's the one surefire way of getting the first car. As long as you're not in a hurry tell the cm at the loading area that you're willing to wait for the next monorail and you'll get the front (unless of course someone ahead of you is willing to wait, then you'll have to catch the one after that).

I agree. You just need to be willing to wait a little while. We've ridden up front many many times! Out of all the times we've asked, we have never been turned down. We may have had to wait a monorail or two but always got to ride up front.

What we've been doing lately is walking through Epcot (we usually stay at BCV) and boarding the monorail there to take to the TTC and then going to MK by ferry. Most people are coming the other direction so there is less "competition" for the front.

Also, make sure you get your licenses. Usually the CM's give them to you themselves, but occasionally you have to ask.

BTW, you can also get a Jr Bus Driver license, a JR boat captain license and a JR train conductor license in addition to the monorail one. During 1 vacation DS got all 4 :)

We walk thru to the Epcot entrance first thing in the AM and there's hardly anyone there. Pretty easy to get the front. If there is a monorail arriving when we are in the courtyard, we daudle a bit for photos and get upstairs as it leaves and we are usually first in line.

Don't forget to place your INDEX Finger up against your nose as you are approaching the CM!
