Hi all :help: :flowerfor
I was able to secure two tables at Jiko at 5:30pm on Saturday the 29th of December as my friend had not dealt with the booking, in order to seat all 10 of us, I had to get two tables.
Does anyone have any pointers on increasing the odds of us all being able to sit together?
Thanks in advance

If it all possible, see if you can get the podium at Jiko. Probably call the AKL direct number and be transferred? The manager should be able to help you.
Alternatively, depending on your time of dinner, they may be able to accommodate you very easily if you just walk up with your request and are willing to wait a bit for some tables to clear.

Our ressie is for 5:30pm - maybe I should be there right at restaurant opening to increase chances for one table

I think you'll be fine with a 5:30 ADR. Do they start serving at 5 or 5:30? If 5, I would get there earlier. If 5:30, just check in at 5:15 or as early as you can. I don't think Jiko really fills up (unless you're there at a peak time) until later. It's fine dining, not family dining. They cater to children well, but people generally dine later there (at least 6pm or so).
