My family and I will be going to BCV for the first time since our purchase in DVC. We'll be there the first week of March. Kids will be 11 and 8, and we've been to all the parks before. We're done with character meals (have done a few and been on a DC), and not likely to eat enough for the DDP. Any suggestions for things I should be doing now as far as planning goes? Also, how crowded is it likely to be that week? Hoping the pirates and princess party will be one night that week. Appreciate any advice you can give us ahead of time! Thanks!

Definitely make your dining reservations for any table service restaurants now, since you're within the 180 day timeframe. If you wait til you get there, or even a couple months before you may not get much of anything.

Crowds should be moderate, getting very busy on March 16th (week before Easter). In early March it won't be unbearable.

Possibly consider having at least one of you getting an AP (with the DVC discount), so that you can purchase a DDE card and save some $$ on food for the four of you. :)

hi - will be there myself. the offsite places are going fast. So I asked on that other board - what gives - well - turns out that alot of colleges have off that week.

so the empty spaces I was hoping for - might not be happening.

march 2 -6 - BWV and OKW.

if you can (this might be a problem with kids) - do the gardening tour at the BC/YC/BCV - you walk around these resorts and he evens gives samples!!!

will you have a car - if you do go visit the other resort - especially OKW - there are things blooming that only blossom then - trees, shurbs, bushes - very pretty.

also look for these in Epcot.

lots of plants are is blossom - so it is really, really pretty.

if you can still get Le Celler it is worth trying for - but it is probably gone.

you sure about the character breakfast - because I love Cape May Cafe this is at the BC - it is buffett but a very, very small one - so the food is turned over fast.

if something is not there when you go up - give them a few minutes.

sometimes the BC beach has movies showing. Ask when you check in if they are doing it now.

have you done the family tour at the MK?

This is kinda boring, but if you have a 1 or 2 bedroom you will need cleaning products for the jacuzzi if you intend to use it. :howudoin:

The weather should be nice in March!

We have gone the 1st week of March for the last 3 years and found that it's a great time to go. Parks are not crowded at all. Many ressies you can book at a couple of days in advance! Most everything is open (only a few refurbishments). ESPN weekend usually is during that weekend at MGM. This year we decided to go March 9th thru the 21st. I think the last 3 years we only had 1 day of rain that I can remember in the 1st week of March and the coldest high temp was 69 degrees. Unless I'm overwhelmed by the time we are going this year....I'll probably plan to go the 1st week next year.
