Has anyone scene the Cirque Du Soleil show in DTD and is it ok to bring a 7 month old to the show?

I've seen it about 5 times over the years. I really recommend it! I don't know how much a 7 month would get out of it, but it would be fine to have one at the show I'd think.

I've read that La Nouba is more family friendly than other Cirque shows. I saw it a couple of years ago and there was nothing that I feel would upset a child. In fact, I sat next to two young children, and their father told me they had many of the Cirque shows on DVD and his kids love them.
But like Denise said, how much a 7 month old would get out of it is another matter.
I have a 10 mo old, and having been to the show, I wouldn't take him. My 3 yr old, I would. Here's why.
The show is intense with a whole lot of visual immersion, a lot via lighting effects. At 7 mo., if the baby's awake, I'm not sure I'd want him exposed at that point in his little life to that intense of an experience. (The guy who used to convulse to Mary Hart's voice comes to mind, for some reason!). But, the bigger issue for me would be that as the adult, I would miss part of the show in dealing with the baby. Best baby in the world still will need to be rocked, moved, resettled, whatever, and for the amount of money I'd be paying, I wouldn't want to miss a minute. Also, I'm sure the guests around me wouldn't want to miss a minute either, and my having to "deal" with the baby means at some level, they do too.
I mention I would take my 3 yr old just to remind you that having a 7 mo old isn't a life sentence. :tilt: In your position, I'd rather defer the show for a couple years so that it could be a truly shared experience.
Good luck in your decision!!!
Don,
Here's a clip from the show...it might help you decide:

I would wait also. You cannot possibly ensure the baby won't fuss or act like a typical 7-month old, and when that happens everyone nearby will be bothered by it. Cirque is an amazing and very expensive show - not a show people go to expecting there might be noisy babies or small children (like Chef Mickey's or even Hoop Dee Doo). Plus, when the baby does need to be tended to, 1 of the parents has to leave the theater - disrupting everyone along the way and causing that parent to miss some of a truly exceptional show. It's a lose-lose situation for everyone, I'm afraid.

I would definitely agree with what everyone has said so far. However, if you do decide to go and take a small one, ask for an aisle seat near an exit so that if you have to exit to take of the baby, there is minimal disruptions!

I would definitely defer till was older but the tickets are free. That is what is making this such a tough decision. We don't want to ruin the show for others but on the other hand we may never get free tickets again.
