Sooooo, anyone have any more events they'd like to plan for the meet? We seem to have very few day events. If someone wants to do a ride meet up or something else in the day that's be great. If not there are certainly plenty of things planned already to do/enjoy as a group. Wooooohooooo only 9 more weeks!! :woohoodan :kickingco :sunny:

Well, if we're looking for something to do DURING the day, I vote for a Breathless II excursion (if it's available for our dates). Any takers?

Ahh yes, I did indeed mean during the day, thanks for clarifying.

What are the details of the breathless cruise? Would you mind starting a new thread with the info? I know you love planning this stuff! :)

This isn't really a "meet", but I've vowed that I'm definitely going to get up the courage to do MS-green (yeah, I'm a real wimp). The more company/moral support on this, the more confident I'll feel. Are there a couple people who'd like to keep me company on it either Friday afternoon (11/30) or Sunday before the BWV get-together (Oh, and I think the B&C celebration is that afternoon, so before that too)?

I am hoping they post the dates for the association meeting and the Merrry Mixer soon- Im having a hard time trying to fit everything in!

Anyone remember what day/days the mixer was last year?

I checked my spreadsheet for last December, and I see an entry for Thursday, 12/14 that the Merry Mixer would be held from 3-5pm.

I was wondering about that too....I think Thursday @ 3-5 is perfect as Tammy & I haven't scheduled ourselves for anything during that time....I hope they announce it soon.

I would love to meet up at the Merry Mixer. I wasn't down in Dec. last year, but I went in 2004 & 05.

There is also time on Tuesday after the POTC meet if we all wanted to go over to the HM or where ever anyone would like. Or go and have some lunch somewhere.

I think going as a group to the Merry Mixer would be a blast!!!!!

I can't be sure, but I think the Monorail drinkathon is after the POC gathering, or am I confused again??????

I love to do group rides with a large amount of people...like TOT and filling up the whole car with mouseowners! In MK, in addition to POC, I think a group oing thorugh HM and riding the carousel at night would be grand fun. Splash mountain and BTMR would be a hoot! And in AK, wouldn't it be fun to fill up a train on Safari with mouseowners? Or the Kali River Rapids?

I guess for that to work, we'd need to 'schedule' a day for a park and build from there...So say since TUesday is POC at MK...plan some other ride meets at MK before/after POC. Or on the day that TOT is happening, schedule some other ride meets before at MGM. A lot of us parkhop morning/afternoon /evening, but if we 'grouped' some ride events in the same park/close time we might do a bit of 'caravaning' from one ride to another.
Of course if it's crowded, we'd have to figure out fastpasses too, but I have a pooh head this morning and can't quite think that hard.

Finally...I like that we might have some 'meets' ,like ride meets, that don't cost anything in addition to the cost events that might cut into some of our budgets

I'll take charge of the Bloody Mary morning meet poolside. You can probably schedule that for "daily."

I'm sure you guys have already done this, but I'm going to try to do either the Keys to the Kingdom tour or the AK backstage tour one of the mornings. If anyone else would like to join me I'd love to have company.

Yes it is, but the time is still to be determined.

Sounds great CB. Maybe we can figure a way to fit in AK since we really don't have anything planned for there. Maybe we could go over there on Thursday morning since the Merry Mixer isn't usually until the afternoon. And Tuesday at MK before/after POTC would work also.

OK...I'm going to make my first concrete suggestion for an 'additional meet'.
Already we have a crew that is going to be at MK on Tuesday for the Capt Jack TUtorial. We have an afternoon drinkathon on the monorail resorts. Then there are people who are going to MK for MVMXP that night.

There will be a general public WISHES at 6:00 pm prior to the start of the MVMXP.

A few trips back, when we were headed into MK in the evening for Wishes, we saw the double decker bus near Tony's. So we boarded it and had a wonderful time sitting in the top of the bus pretending we were a parade. (I videoed it and I think I might have showed it here on some thread at one point).

SO...my idea is to meet up after the drinkathon at MK, ride the bus down main street and then sit in front of the castle (my fav spot) to watch the 6pm WISHES. THis would make a great photo op ...from the bus, of the bus and of a bunch of us sitting in front of the castle for Wishes. ANy MVMXP goers can meet up here to...and then while we poorer folks (HA) shuffle out, they can start partying in earnest.

Stimpy...could we maybe do a proposed event sign up for 'DOUBLE DECKER DOWN MAIN STREET TO WISHES' and see if there's interest????? This would probalby be right after the drinkathon, so I'm guessing 5:15 to 5:30ish with WIshes at 6?????

I still haven't seen anything on the DVC site about the Member Merry Mixer for this year. Are we to assume that they aren't going to have it this year? I thougt that in the past years that they had announced it by now.

I have been waiting for that announcement as well Gail. This is the first year since I joined DVC that I will be at WDW during dates that had the mixer in the past. I was really looking forward to it, it sounded like a blast. I am still hoping, but getting a bit worried that there won't be a mixer this year, as I haven't seen anything about it anywhere yet. :help: :boohoohoo
