So, I had to cancel my October trip. ::sigh:: My recent moving expenses were way too high and then my room mate just told me he can't get me my free plane ticket in time. grrrrrr. Combined with my knee still not being quite right, it was best to just postpone.
When I cancelled my trip, I sorta did it one day too late. So, I have 11 points in a holding account. I am looking at going in February. So, what do we think about last week of February?
I've gone the first week of March and that was great. And I think the crowds should be low enough so that I don't have to lost those 11 points in holding account. BTW, my UY is March.

The last week of February is a good time for a last-minute trip. There aren't any big events going on,and spring break at that time is no big deal. Late March will be the nightmare in 2008, thanks to Easter being the 23rd.

Sorry bout your cancelled trip...That's got to be a big disappointment. As TW might say: ya just gotta get yoself a new guide!
If you can't decide on when to go, you might just try to rent those points to someone for a one night stay....it's harder to do in a holding account, but you've got plenty of time.

Hey LC...OT, but can you tell me what the 'special' southern california ap pass (it was @`$`129 is? And would my DD in Santa Barbara qualify?

Your daughter would qualify for the pass. The pass is essentially a mon-fri. pass. and blacked out during summer and holidays.I actually have the regular SoCal pass which generally gives me Sun - Fri. and blaced out during the summer and holiday weekends. That one was about $160.

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your October trip!
We just booked Feb 29 - March 8th (wanted to go first week of May but work is keeping me from it). I was actually able to get a 1BR standard view at BWV!!!
The only thing going on that weekend is ESPN Weekend. But I don't think that attracts an overwhelming amount of people, does it? We've never gone this time of year before so it's all new to us.
