Good Room and VWL

I will be staying in a 1 bedroom at VWL. This is our first time at VWL. Can anyone suggest a good room. I would really like a room where we can see fireworks. Close to transportation. Anyone stayed in a room there with a great view?

Sorry I wish I could. The best chance would be to request a top floor room so you can see over the trees. Maybe top floor overlooking part of the quiet pool.

VWL along with BCV has the worst views of any DVC resort, IMO. I love the resort and truly think it is the best of DVC at this point but views are not a strong feature of the Villas.

Good luck and I hope you don't get the dreaded dumpster view.

Request top floor, Bay Lake view. But I'm not sure if you can see the MK fireworks from VWL. If you get lake view, you'll avoid the dumpster view, since the dumpster is on the other side.

We got lake view last December, and I learned that the people across the hallway from us had dumpster view.

VWL is our home resort and I don't know of any room that you can see fireworks out of.
There are rooms at WL that you can see them though.

And I agree about the VWL views. Not the best.
But the resort ambiance more than makes up for the view!:jumpingbe

We're also VWL owners.. I also agree that the view are not the best but you can get some nice woodsy views on the bay lake side and there is also a nice corner room that overlooks the quiet pool.
You're best bet for fireworks is to request a top floor, bay lake which was already said, outside of that, you can usually see quite a bit of the fireworks from the boat dock.
While the views aren't the greatest, how long do you really spend looking out your window anyway..
