Currently we have a 2BR BCV that came through on wait list for 3 nights - hurray!
We then have a 1BR BCV for another 3 nights
Is it possible to have DVC link the reservations - have the 2BR as a lockoff and then simply abandon the studio portion and retreat into the 1BR area so we do not have to move?
Cheers

I think I have read the answer to that as no, even though it would sure make a lot of sense. I wouldn't take my word for it though, since I'm not positive.
I would think, though, that even if they won't guarantee this, you should have MS take a note of it, and then ask again at check-in if they could facilitate this for you - I'm guessing that if you get a good cm, they'll help you figure it out. It does seem silly to make you move, but I realize there are a lot of factors in play there, and they won't guarantee you much.

That's the right answer.
They won't promise anything, though if you get an especially cooperative CM in both places (MS and BCV), you *might* get lucky. There are probably way too many factors involved, though, (location, smoking preference, etc.), so unfortunately, I wouldn't get my hopes up very high if I were you. :tearsaref

Have you thought about getting a 2 bedroom lock off? You'd have the two bedrooms and then when you need to go down to the one bedroom, you'd just 'abandon' the studio part of the lock off. I just made ressies for a lock off for October with no problems.

Thanks all - I am going to waitlist for a BCV 2BR for the 2nd cluster of 3 nights - if I get it then I guess I would link the ressies and have the same 2BR for 6 nights

I saw your question on the other board too and I actually would have thought the opposite. I have never done this so have no absolutely no solid ground to stand on, but I remember reading others (Doc for one) having done this and advising others that it was doable in the scaling downward direction(2bdrm->1bdrm). I see Caskbills point that it might not be possible but it seems like it would be probable. It may depend on the willingness of the front desk CM.
(But please don't base your decision by anything I say!)

Thanks Lisa - yes I am a board two timer :bagovermy
We have waitlisted for the 2BR for the 3 nights - either we will have the 2BR for 6 nights or have to plead with MS and Front Desk to not move :crymeariv

No worries. I think we can have friends in both places. I just feel a little shyer answering with an opinion instead of fact on the other board since it is a bigger audience with bigger guns.
Have you gotten all your plans worked out? We loved our AKL/BCV trip last spring. AKL was a wonderful resort. It probably didn't hurt we went concerige and did the safari. While we were at AKL we did AK and MK, and when we were at BCV we did Epcot and MGM. It worked nicely.

We are going with the AP (was BRP rate at the time) so stuck with the Savannah view as the discount was a flat $133 off the rack rate and not discount % based
At this point our only firm commitments at AKL:
Using the water slide
Participating in the kids activities
Attending (at least one of myself or DW the educational seminars at night)
Reading a dramatic story for the kids at the outdoor fire pit
Breakfast at Boma's
Dinner at Jiko's
Hunting for Poachers (our kids like to do this)
Playing on the playground (DS#1 really likes that playground)
Talking to the CM's from Africa - the kids really enjoy that

Oh no!!! Lisa and jaysue: Personal communication and messages in posts???!!! How terrible!!! How awful!!!
Honestly -- what are we ever going to do if people try to be friendly with each other and form a community here?

Kim, I started reading you post and I could feel my heart rate start to elevate and my palm start to sweat. Oh, no! Were the moderators frowning upon me, perhaps going to erase my existance? Ban me?? :Paranoid:
Then I read the rest and smiled. It's nice here. :loveisint
