Because I normally get studios, I request Wave of the Crest building for board walk view. I noticed that the 'smoking' area is right in front of that building, and with the noise from Jelly's AND smoking (I have to leave my balcony door open at night) that's too many negatives.
So, I'm wondering if there are any studios in the building over Big River Grill?
That is the building with all the enclosed balcony's and I noticed a lot of 1 and 2 bedroom units there with long balconies...So my questions:
1. Has anyone stayed in a studio unit over Big River Grill?
2. Any specific units between Big River and the green that are particularly perfect in every way?:snooty: :D
Thanks!

Cb we had a studio that was over the Big River Grill, I think. we were right across frmo the coffee kiosk thing. It was a HA room though so we moved to another room that was not Boardwalk View but overlooking the green area, so we still were able to see everything on the BW.
The second studio we had was outstanding! We were able to see the high fireworks from Illuminations and Wishes, could see alot on the boardwalk, including ESPN and it was quieter than being on the BW itself. It was on the 5th floor, but I can't remember the exact room number. But again, it was considered "preferred view" not BW view.

Was that room over the Wyland Galleries? I've herd that they have huge balconies, which would be nice..but I guess I'll wait for someday when I can only get PV to do that.
I agree about the noise but since I don't have little ones and since I'm usually up late, I think I'll still take the noise but want to be FAR away from the smoke that wafts upwards. (Cant believe they made it a smoking area...why not down in between Jellys and Atlantic Hall. DUH)
I guess I'll try 'over Big River or Thimbles and THreads and hope for the best!
Thanks, Stimparoo!

got a lovely studio right over Big River Grill - it was a dedicated with a day bed.
beautiful views!!!
had wonderful views of the BW, YC and BC - at night to the right you could see some of the fireworks.
this a long, long time ago - like the first year BWV opened.
you know that may be one reason why I don't like BWV - the other views could not live up to this one.
it would probably be now a BW view.
It was on the 3rd floor - long walk from the elevators - but there were steps nearby.

I called to make a request and told them why (the new smoking section) I wanted to be over Big River Grill area if possible.Gave them room numbers for the boardwalk rooms starting by the boat ramp down to Big River...so surely there will be a lovely studio somewhere in there! Of course I'll have to go over and check it out on Friday (check in day for Pop) to make sure I have it right...those views are important!!!!!
Thanks everyone! Spiceycat...do you remember if your balcony was open or enclosed? The balconies in Wave of the Crest building are teeny, but oh the view!!!
