Hi, as an National Emerald member, both of us can drive the vehicle with no extra fees. Do any of the other Orlando Airpot rental car companies offer this feature?

TIA

yes, Alamo will, but you need use one of the walmart corp. ID codes listed on Mousesavers. here's the page with all the info. http://www.mousesavers.com/alamo.html#codes . i've used this id several times and the ressie does indeed say 'additional driver included'.

Last year I booked a rental with Dollar and used the Wal-Mart Code in Buffalo. When I asked about an extra driver, they told me spouses are automatically included.

I don't know if it was the Wal-Mart code, or Dollar's policy, or what. Maybe you can call and ask.

I think you have to book through certain venues or with certain codes to get the additional driver with Dollar. We booked through the AAA website and they insisted on charging $10 a day at the counter for an additional driver. Instead, I got to be chauffeur for the week.

I think Avis and Hertz are usually good about additional drivers in the same household. Most businesss oriented companies probably are.

Budget at MCO offers a free second driver.

In addition to the Walmart code, Alamo also offers a free extra driver when booking through Costco.

Exactly Dirk on the Dollar thing - I wanted DW to be able to drive from time to time or for example if she wants to leave with one or both of the DS' and I wanted to stay at the park
