The first greenbanned poll of the New Year!
Take a guess. Winner may get some of the "BIG ONE's" points, pending agreement of Mr/Ms Big One of Course.
If you choose other please provide a name.
Assumptions:
Tom is being honest, it is a male member (hmmmmmm, rephrase that to.... It is a male user of these boards)....
My guess is RASH! I think he may have won a couple of races!

I voted "Other". I think Toon put some of that insurance money to good use. :)
My money has always been on you, Tony.
Figure its part of your plan to corner the market on points just to keep the rental rate at $12 or more
Except, Tom keeps telling us "its someone you all know and love" So maybe my theory is shot to heck :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
Succulent!

Well, I voted other, cause I'm really not sure. I have 2 guesess. I noted in our other thread about this, that I had a vibe it was MG (however, I haven't seen him around here much lately) and I don't know why I had that vibe, I just did. My other guess is Tony.

My Daughter's Bat Mitvah is on the 21st, and driving to the caterers, I missed the entrance, so I drove in the exit, and hit the curb. Well I must have hit it a little to fast, cause a rub and noise started in my left front wheel.
It was a good 'hit' as my teeth clashed and my ears rang......
If I'm lucky it is a wheel bearing and brake system, if I'm unlucky after they replace that I get a new axle for BIG $$$ (like that contract!)
The worse part is, that my 'baby' is a 2002 with 113,000 miles, and has never given me a lick of trouble, and look how I repaid her!
I'm sorry, I have to stop posting (sniff) right now, this is just to darn hard.....

Had to fight seller's remorse. First they wanted an immediate close, then delayed for 3 months. Had to up the offering by a $1.00 per point, and pay 2006 Maintenance Fees.........
But the offer does have :loveisint banked points :loveisint

Guys (Gals) I'm still way up on cloud nine. I want to make a couple of points so I don't offend anyone (yet again).
I really am superstitious. After I lost my triple VWL, I vowed never to post ROFR facts again. But (those of us who have had addonitis), know how that is, so I decided to just say I was waiting ROFR to get good wishes, pixie dust and good luck! And I did, and I sincerely thank you!
After my most recent hiatus (caused by questionable posts/polls), I returned and saw the who bought the big one thread, and could not resist my little poll.
You see I really wanted to talk about it, but my superstition, and promise to my self, would not let me talk about it directly. So please forgive me leading you all on, but it wasn't because of malice, just because it is who I am.
Anyway, long post ahead. I orginally bought into the DVC via one of my corporations, to reward employees of my companies and my wife's company with DVC vacation at their 5 year (and multiple of 5 years) anniversaries of employment. I ran this by my Accountant, who advised me if I bought it for corporate Employee Welfare, it would be tax deductible. As you can imagine, this saved me alot of the 'real' cost of buying into the DVC.
I bought loaded contracts, and had enough points to give vacation rewards, and go on several trips ourselves, and my DW and I fell in love with the DVC.
Bottom line, we are now planning to retire to Disney from September thru March every year in a 1 BR at OKW, going to family for Turkeyday and Christmas/New Years. The rest of the year I hope to be able to tour the US/England in a Motorhome.
I calculate we will need about 5,200 points to achieve this goal. If we avoid high rate times and or weekends, and use a studio for parts of the time, we could do this on the points we now have.
Since I now have way too many points to use (before retirement) I plan on renting them off (the excess) to pay maintenance fees, and hopefully buy the remaining points that we need!
So perhaps to much PMI, but you know the motivation behind and the direction of my grandious plans.
You guys are the greatest, it is so nice to have a 'real' community again, and I thank you all sincerely.
Finally, we will have Yuengling on tap, while at OKW, and you're all invited to stop by and hoist a few. :ale:  :ale:

WARNING! Rediculously long post, even for Tony!
Hey guys! You are not going to believe this but......
The superstitious guy's luck on a Full Moon, Friday the 13th with a brand new all black kitten, who got his car back today, passed ROFR today, just had another little bit of luck.
My DW found one of her diamond earrings on the floor by her jewlery box earlier this week. The other earring was missing. These are not big, fancy diamond earrings, but they were her first pair, given to her by her Mother on the day she graduated from Medical School, and worn on her last day as a single woman, they day she walked down the aisle (The most beautiful bride ever, BTW) to marry me. (Yes, we all know I got the better deal!). So, while the cash value was low, the sentimential value is irreplaceable.
So she questions our DD5, who admits to tryingon those shinny earrings. (she has also emptied my wallet on occassion, don't get the wrong idea, she's just curious, not stealing or hidding things). So DW puts a stocking on the vacuum hose and starts to clean the whole house, no luck. This is Monday. Today, our (cleaning woman) tells my wife, that last Monday, an earring dropped out of the clothing she took to the dry cleaner. She searched the rest of the clothes and her car, and didn't find the other earring. The earring she found was the one we found on the floor by DW jewlery box.
So after my great day today, I say to my wife at dinner, lets go to the Dry Cleaners tonight with our flashlights and search for your missing earring. Somehow, I knew with great certainty that we would find her earring in the parking lot. My DW looks at me like she is thinking, "what is he crazy?", but she thinks he seems so certain about this, why not humor him and try it. (She told me what she was thinking later on)
So off we go, taking DD5 who now admits she didn't try the earrings on, but wanted her Mommy to feel better, so she made up a story that she had tried on her Mom's earrings.
DD and I search the parking lot with our Mag Lites (BTW, mine is a 4-D cell, black with a Krypton bulb that I have had since 1977, DW's is a red 3-D Cell). We search for about 10 minutes while DW goes in to pickup our Dry Cleaning. She tells the counter woman the story, and searches through the clothing, then they tear the store apart, I mean emptying the trash, sifting through the vacuum cleaner's dust/lint and under door mats.
Meanwhile, a nice Pizza delivery lady, who sees me and DD searching says, "What are you looking for?" I tell her and she says, When my shift is over, I will look for you, so come to the Pizza store tomorrow to check!"
Wasn't that nice?
So as my wife is leaving with the dry cleaning, the counter ladies drops our slip, bends down to pick it up, and her eye is caught by a scrap of paper (a punched paper hole), she reaches for it and........
you guessed it........
finds my DW's other diamonf earring!!!!
After much shouting, jumping, hugging, crying and rejoycing we left. (Yes, I went to the Pizza Shop to tell the delivery lady the good news, and not to bother looking for the earring!)
I then (being to tired to drive 3 hours to the nearest casino), went to our Local Stop N Shop and bought 3 of every lottery ticket the big green machine sells. One of each for me, DW and Jan the counter cleaning lady.
So, I ask you dear friends, how come when my luck is so very good, and I'm gonna win Mega Millions is the jackpot only $15 million, not $150 million?
What a wonderful day the good Lord has blessed me with, may you all be so blessed!
Thankfully,
-Tony

Talk about luck. I go away for a few days and while I'm there, Jason calls to tell me that ROFR waived the big one. What to do? I don't have my computer, how can I report the news to my friends. I rush in this afternoon, go straight to my computer only to learn by E-Mail, it's not the DVC Boards anymore. OK, I can handle this, I type in MouseOwners.com. What do I get? What's your user name and password? Well I have slips of paper scotchtaped all around my desk with user names & passwords to every board out there, after 30 minutes, I find DVC board user name & password only to remember that my friend Carrie, Poohs Pal, changed it for me. Now she probably gave me those things but can I find them. NO! I go back to the E-Mail sent to me and beg them to please send these things to me. I told them I had to reply to "The Big One" thread. I was pitiful folks and must have been convincing because Eric wrote back and gave me the valuable pieces of info I needed to connect with my friends. So with lightning speed, I go to "the Big One" and there's Greenbanned just gushing all over the place. I congratulated him and he writes that I should go to this thread. So, here I am folks and I'm happy to tell you that Greenban got THE BIG ONE!!!

Congratulations! (I had a feeling it was you....)
Be sure to use the Rent/Trade/Transfer Board to get rid of all those extra points! You were the one who requested it in my poll, after all!!
Kim
LOL. And, I think he should rent them out to all of us for..... $6.12 a point.
Anyways, congrats on passing ROFR Tony!

Folks this run of luck is way too cool.
Yesterday, my title was 'waiting for ROFR' which was appropriate, today it is 'studio'!
So did Mistress Kim change me, or did I coincidentally get enough posts, the day I passed ROFR?

Well, Friday the 13th has lost it's reputation!!! That is so wonderful, Tony---and I'm glad to know who got it and what you intend to do with it. From now on every time we are at OKW I'll be thinking of you and your family. We had a little bit of good luck too---on Friday we found a house we loved and that puts us very close to DD "with disney spirit"! :D Honi

Yes I have become a Big Friday the 13th Fan, although today has brought me back to earth. Just picture: DS9 + Double Ended Lightsaber + glass globe light on ceiling fan + DW warning DS not to play in the house = crash, smash, cut son, no more light.
Oh well back to the REAL world.
And my deepest thanks to all for the congrats and well wishes and spirit of community!

Was the cut bad?
As for the other parts, been there done that. Two fan lights bit the dust at our house. I was REALLY glad when we outgrew the acute phase of that particular syndrome. It only lasted about, um...well, actually, my DS is 27 and I think he still has it. The light sabre, that is. He can break his own fan lights now.

Dear DisFlan:
Thanks for asking about Anthony (DS9-11/12)! He is fine.
The only 'bad' cut in a house of 2 Physicians, is the one that I suture WITHOUT a local, and fortunately, for his sake, it didn't need suturing.
However, I am now the proud owner of 5 assorted Lightsabers!
May the force be with you!

We only have one physician at our house, but with a son who got into all sorts of stuff, we kept a bottle of anesthetic on hand. More than a couple of things got stitched up at home over the years. Head, hands, feet. The dog. The neighbor's dog.
It's a miracle our kid ever made it past puberty.

I love the comment about YOU owning 5 lightsabers now since I currently have about 6-7 of them on top of a high shelf above my head for the same reason LOL (ALthough, we didn't have any serious breakage or injuries....just a few too many knocks on little sister's head :scary: ) They join the blasters, the pirate sword a star fighter, etc....I'm going to need to get more shelves b/c of this kid!

Too Funny! Perhaps we should develope and market the 'PARENT's SHELF', storage space for all the toys you will gather as an adult! Never needs dusting, holds over 30 pistols, swords, lightsabers, laser tag games, rifles, woden beams, mop handles, power tools and other assorted WCD!
