Room Location Considerations
Rooms in the “Congress Park” neighborhood are the closest to Downtown Disney.  Guests staying in this region can walk to the DTD Marketplace in as little as 5 minutes.  Many guest rooms here also feature a luxurious view of Downtown Disney.

Rooms in “The Springs” are closest to Artist’s Palette, High Rock Spring and other centrally-located amenities.

Guests with a preference for these or any other criteria in their guest room should make sure the requests are noted at the time of the booking through DVC.

Internal Bus Service
Most theme park busses stop just outside of the main pool before exiting the resort.  Guests staying in Congress Park can save a few minutes walking to the pool simply by boarding a bus in Congress Park and riding it to The Springs stop adjacent to the pool. – courtesy of spiceycat

Refillable Mugs
Length-of-stay refillable soft drink mugs can be purchased at Artist’s Palette.  However, be aware that Artist’s Palette is the only location where mugs can be refilled, which may not be convenient from many guest rooms. – courtesy of spiceycat

Playground / BBQ
Each of the Leisure Pool areas features a barbeque grill for use by resort guests (first-come, first-served; bring your own charcoal) as well as a children’s playground. – courtesy of Doug7856

Community Hall
The Community Hall features a wide array of activities.  Many are free while others require a nominal charge.  Included are instructor-lead crafts like ceramic painting and flower arranging. – courtesy of cobbler

Off the Beaten Path
When walking from Congress Park to the main pool area, you can avoid battling the resort traffic along Broadway by taking the sidewalk that runs alongside the DVC sales center.  This path takes guests past the Spa and deposits guests right in the middle of High Rock Spring. – courtesy of bavaria

Walking Path to Old Key West and DTD West Side
When standing in Congress Park looking across the water at Downtown Disney, walking paths are available in both directions.  The published route to DTD (which deposits guests in the Marketplace) is reached by following the path to the left.  However, going to the right will take guests to a series of golf cart paths which can be used to reach either Old Key West or the Downtown Disney West Side.  – courtesy of Rozzie
