Podcasting is a rather new phenomenon. Think of it like having a magazine subscription, except that instead of receiving a new issue in your mailbox at regular intervals, you receive a new audio or video feed according to the broadcaster’s schedule. You don’t need an iPod to listen to podcasts, and all of the selections listed below are free of charge. The easiest way to get into Podcasting is to download iTunes (www.itunes.com), which is also a free application. Once installed, you can search the iTunes Music Store for Podcasts to add to your subscription list. Or you can subscribe directly by clicking ADVANCED then SUBSCRIBE TO PODCAST and pasting one of the URLs listed below. This weekly Podcast was first broadcast on Christmas Day 2005 and has already included nice segments on Epcot and Expedition Everest. Listen for a familiar voice at the beginning and end of each Podcast. “Ladies and gentlemen, please wait until the Podcast has stopped completely…and have a magical day.” New episodes are available Thursday. Please note that these podcasts have been discontinued. Whether they will be continued at some point in the future is unknown. Host Ricky Brigante covers a wide range of topics including the latest Disney news, reviews of recent films and videos and virtual tours of theme park attractions. The Podcast even features a weekly segment by a former Disney Cast Member with insider information that listeners are sure to enjoy. New episodes are available Sunday. WDW Today Web Site URL: http://www.wdwtoday.com/ A round-table discussion of all things Disney featuring a knowledgeable panel of Disney insiders, including Matt Hochberg (www.mgmstudios.org), Len Testa (The Unofficial Guide to WDW) and Mike Scopa (www.mouseplanet.com) and Mike Newell (mouseworldradio.com). Each episode typically features one main discussion topic, with listener questions fielded during the Wednesday broadcast. |
