Special Event Meals
Once or twice a week, the Cast Members put on special family meals open to all resort guests. These events, the “Tuesday Night All American Bar-B-Que” and the “Low Country Shrimp Boil” are all-you-can-eat affairs that cost approximately $25 per adult and $10 per child under 10. Entertainment is usually provided as well. While subject to change, a recent Shrimp Boil offered boiled shrimp, smoked sausage, red potatoes, corn on the cob, marinated pork tenderloin, hushpuppies, soups, salads, vegetables, desserts and soft drinks. The kids menu offered chicken fingers, mac-and-cheese and corn on the cob.

Notes on Eating in HHI
The resort does not have a full service, sit down eatery, however there are literally hundreds of restaurants, many within walking distance of the resort, that cater to resort guests. Hilton Head Island is home to many outstanding restaurants in all price ranges and styles, from very upscale, fine dining to fast food and family friendly diners. Several supermarkets are also nearby for guests who want the option of preparing meals in their rooms. Upon check-in you will receive a restaurant guide that lists over 100 local eateries and their menus. Many offer a discount to DVC guests. Most restaurants will also prepare take-out so you can eat in your villa, or offer discounted early-bird specials that are known to appeal to families with young children as well as seniors.
