Disney's BoardWalk Villas Resort (BWV) is part of Disney's BoardWalk complex. Disney's BWV is reminiscent of turn-of-the-century Coney Island. In the 1890's through about 1930, Coney Island Beach Resort was the main vacation destination for New Yorkers and others on the East Coast. The BoardWalk Villas are adjacent to Disney's BoardWalk Inn (a Deluxe WDW Hotel) and a real boardwalk along a waterfront filled with stores, restaurants, dance halls, and other entertainment. The pool area is named after, and is themed like, Luna Park, one of Coney Island's legendary amusement parks. The pool theming is carried through to the pool slide, designed to resemble a wooden rollercoaster, and the Leaping Libations pool bar, which bears a striking resemblance to a carousel.
The BoardWalk Villas are located in the Epcot resort area, in close proximity to Disney MGM Studios, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, as well as the Dolphin and Swan resorts.
This BoardWalk Inn and BoardWalk Villas are housed within a single building. The white 4-story building is dotted with latticework and topped with sea green colored roofs and colorfully striped awnings. Room views available to Villa guests include interior courtyards filled with many varieties of blooming flowers, the canal which runs from Crescent Lake to Disney-MGM Studios and the BoardWalk itself.
