Stormalong Bay
Stormalong Bay (SAB) is one of the most amazing hotel pools built anywhere in the world. It is a three-acre oasis that is Disney’s “crown jewel” of hotel pools. This one-of-a-kind complex is a zero-entry, entirely sand bottom facility designed to delight your senses. The Beach Club and its sister resort, The Yacht Club, were designed to perfectly showcase this pool. The pool complex sits just off Crescent Lake with beautiful views of the Boardwalk Resort Area, and runs almost the full length of both the Yacht and Beach clubs.
The pool itself is divided into many sections. There is a sinking sands section that small children love to play in. There is a “whirlpool” section (in the traditional sense), which is a large circular area that pulls swimmers around and around. There is a sunken ship off the beach of Crescent lake which serves as the launch pad for a very tall, very long water slide that sends riders across the sidewalk and over guests into the sand-bottom pool. There are several “rock” enclosed hot tubs, and there is a separate wading area for small children (near the entrance to the waterslide). In this play area, youngsters will be delighted to find their own little water slide. There is a lazy river where vacationers can relax in tubes for hours.
Rentals of tubes and noodles are available at SAB. If you choose to bring your own tubes, make sure they are clear, and not colored at all. You can purchase “arm floaties”, sunscreen and film as well. Pool towels are provided.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of this resort amenity, WDW was forced to add a white-picket fence around the entire structure, and strictly enforce a “resort-guests only” policy. Have your room key with you at all times while swimming at SAB, and be prepared to present it when getting towels or if randomly asked by a cast member. The hours of SAB are seasonal, so please check with the front desk upon your arrival. SAB opens at 10am, and in the summer, will often stay open until 10pm on weekends, and 8pm during the week. Winter hours are shorter, and SAB will often close by 6pm. Lifeguards are present during operating hours. SAB (like all WDW pools) is heated.

Leisure Pools
There are two quiet pools at The Beach Club. The Villa pool is located just off the Villas wing of the resort, while the Beach pool is located adjacent to Crescent Lake, near the walkway to Epcot. While the Beach pool is larger and has a great view, the Villa pool is much more secluded and private. These pools are open 24 hours a day, and there are NO lifeguards on duty.
Lafferty Place Arcade
Located right next door to Beaches and Cream and overlooking Stormalong Bay is an arcade sure to please the pickiest enthusiasts.
